At the moments I keep about 110 tarantulas and scorpions. The actual number is constantly changing since I frequently buy, sell and exchange animals. In this area of my website I have a list of the animals which I keep, including many photos. Since I got most of my spiders very young, I follow their development from spiderling to adult. Keep checking this site and you will be able to see how little spiderlings grow to their full size and beauty (as always "beauty" lies in the eye of the beholder).

In the next section of the spider area I would like to give a bit of information on tarantula care, show my terrariums and report on the cure and prevention of diseases. Many of the guidelines as to how to keep the spiders and care for the young spiderlings I have learned from other tarantula breeders, most of which I met through a regular meeting of enthusiasts every first monday of the month (www.arachnologen-bonn.de).

Once one has acquired a tarantula, scorpion, gecko or any other carnivorous pet, the question of how to feed it arises. Some of the food animals are readily and cheaply available in every good pet shop, some are not so readily available or not available in the right size. In this case the question arises how to breed the food animals yourself. In this section I try to give some advice on how to breed fruit flies (Drosophila), flies and crickets (Gryllus assimilis).

Over time I will accumulate interesting information on tarantulas here on this website. Since I’m still relatively new to this hobby, the list will not be very long at the moment, but I will expand it as my know how grows.

Last but not least I want to establish a collection of links to the websites of other tarantula breeders, organizations and retailers to help others in finding resources in the internet.
